A unique and prolific mix of tropical and pelagic fish surrounds Lord Howe. Both the on-shore and deep water fishing is remarkable.

Good on-shore fishing spots: Old Gulch and The Herring Pools; Dawson's Point to Far Rocks; Jim's Point to Middle Beach; Blinky Beach plus Cobby’s Corner to Little Island.

By boat: Balls Pyramid; North East Shelf (approximately 5 miles out); Lord Howe Island's Lagoon, coastal fringe and close offshore islands.
